Halto does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no third-party SDK in the app. Nothing you do in Halto is sent anywhere.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything: the apps and categories you choose to block, your schedules, your unlock history and the reasons you give, your focus sessions and your streak. All of it lives in Halto's own storage on the device and in a shared container used by the app's own extensions. None of it is transmitted off the device, and we have no way to read it.
Screen Time (Family Controls)
Halto uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to block apps for you. When you choose apps in the picker, Apple gives Halto opaque tokens — not names, not bundle identifiers, not icons. We cannot tell which apps you picked, and neither can anyone else who reads our data.
Your usage statistics are shown by a Device Activity Report extension that Apple runs in a sandbox. That sandbox cannot make network requests and cannot pass values back to the app. The charts you see in Halto's Insights tab are drawn inside it; the app itself never receives those numbers.
Purchases
Halto Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether a purchase is active. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Halto uses them for exactly two things: bringing you to the mindful pause when you tap "I need it" on a blocked app, and — only if you switch it on — one weekly summary. They are composed and scheduled on your device. There are no marketing notifications and no guilt reminders.
Children
Halto asks for individual Screen Time authorization only: a person blocking their own apps on their own device. It has no parent-side or child-monitoring features.
Your choices
You can revoke Screen Time access at any time in iOS Settings, and you can delete everything Halto has stored with Settings → Reset all data in the app. Deleting the app removes all of it too.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear at this address with a new date above.
